A book is a portal to another world.  It can take you to places that you could never imagine.  Books are images that take minds of genuis to create.  They can take you to a medival Europe or two thoasand years in the future in a futuristic city.  They can take you to a war where you fight an enemy that could destroy a world in seconds or in a relatonship with a dashing hero or heroine.  You could go back in time to stop an assassination of an influencial figure of a country or to kill one.  You can fight against nazis in the second world war or you can save slaves from a depressing plantation.  You can stop a war before the people you protect ever knew or you can salvage an alliance between two nations.  Books are your friends there for you when you need them.  They relieve stress or can make you laugh.  They can comfort you or they can enrage you.  They can make you sad or happy.  Books are what you make them out to be.  They can be a being or a pile of paper to a person.  It all depends on you, whether you can see a book as the world it describes or you can't and you see a piece of paper with words that mean nothing to you.  Books are not words on a page they are a portal, they are your friend, they are exactly what you depict them to be.  You can leave a world and enter another that is more lively or more imaginable.  You could be a secret spy even though your under eighteen or they could tell you a story just like what mom used to do when you were five or you can see a planet that is green as in the grass is greener on the other side.

Why do I read?
I read because I enjoy it. I find it a fun pass time.  When im done with my homework what do i do? I read for a while.  After school and on the bus home what do i do? I read.  Reading for me has been around me since i was born i always saw my mom reading and so i would grab one of her books and look at the pages.  Of couse i didn't understand any of them so she got me book more for my age of four years and it just flew from there.  I see what i read, people say that you can visualize what you read. Its true you can for me i can see what i read and it like a TV in your head.  I am reading at this moment The Death Cure by James Dashner and it is good.  You can feel the troubles the main character goes through you can feel the problems all of the characters face.  You can see the devastation brought upon the world by a disease that kills off or makes humans insane.  You see the world when it all ends and what we would do when the worse comes to pass.  I read because I like it, its fun, its a stress reilever, and it can transport you to a whole different world that you never thought possible.
